The Bricklayer program is a Windows app written in Microsoft Visual C++
2008. To be
able to run it on your PC you will need to have the DotNet 3.5 SP1 or later installed and the
C++ 2008 runtime dlls installed.
You may need to download these from the
Microsoft web site.
The links are

you will need to have the 32bit C++ Visual Studio 2008 runtime dlls installed. vcredist_x86.exe File Size:4.3 MB.

. The .NET
Framework is a big download so you do not want to download it again if it is
already installed. If you are using Windows 7 or later you should already have the .NET
Framework 3.5 SP1 installed. The x86 Redistributable runtime package is only a small download and most people are likely to need to install it.

Bricklayer will run on Windows computers with both 64 bit (x64) and 32 bit (x86) processors.
Bricklayer has been updated in May 2015, more brick styles have been added and it is now possible to pan the screen up and down and left and right.
There is no installer required for Bricklayer, you can download the program and unzip or extract BrickLayer.exe into any folder. The easiest way to extract BrickLayer.exe from the bricklayer.zip file is to right click the zip file with your mouse and choose Extract All. Alternatively use a program such as 7zip. To run the program just double click BrickLayer.exe or setup a link to the program and double click that.
This program is supplied as is. There is no warranty given with it and all risk associated with it's use is your's alone. The programmer does however try to make the program reliable and you should not have any problems when you use it.
