Bricklayer - Displaying and printing one or several layers

In Bricklayer every time you add a brick the whole drawing is redrawn.  You can speed up the redraw time by choosing to display just one, two or three layers.  These options are all on the View menu.  They also effect the number of layers printed.  To print one layer at a time choose 'Active Layer Only' and then File - Print - (Normal 3D).  You can use the 'o' and 'l' keys to quickly go up and down the layers.  When the program was first created redraw times were an issue but with todays faster PC's it's not such a problem.
The program has been updated in July 2014 so that bricks can be placed anywhere on a layer including negative co-ordinates. The original print dialog which is now called Quick Print will only print bricks correctly if they are in positive co-ordinates on a layer. A new print dialog has been added called Print (Custom) to deal with bricks in negative co-ordinates. This works fairly well although you'll find the preview window on it is not very accurate.
