FlightMirage replaying aircraft positions by using ADSBExchange JSON files.

FlightMirage has an option on the View menu to replay aircraft positions from ADSBExchange JSON files on the map display. these can be downloaded from The https://www.adsbexchange.com/data/# website. The files are large 8GB to 24GB because they contain all world aircraft for a day. To use them you will need to extract all or some of the contained JSON files to a folder.

Each JSON file can have several lines for each aircraft but FlightMirage will display only the first of each aircraft in each JSON file. Earlier versions of FlightMirage showed all aircraft in each JSON file but that gave a very cluttered display and meant that you got several icons for an aircraft overlapping each other. So what you see is a speeded up replay of aircraft positions with a real time gap of between one minute and several minutes between each aircraft position.

If you want to stop a replay running the best way is to click on the map or list icons on the toolbar.

In busy areas the screen can be cluttered.  It helps to change to a higher map zoom level and that will give more space between each aircraft.

In quiet areas it's better.
