The fuel pump and transformer.

Behind the red plate is the fuel pump solenoid coil.

The transformer is used to create the high voltage for the ignition spark and has two leads that look like car HT leads that go in to the inside of the unit.

The chrome band with the small gap around the yellow body is the air intake.
